Privacy Policy

You’ve probably always wondered if your local swimming pool was holding lots of personal information about you, and now is your chance to find out!   This might not be the most interesting page on the website, but we intend to fully comply with the provisions of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Privacy and Electronic Communication Regulations (PECR).   Both excellent bedtime reading if you get a chance.

What personal data we collect and why we collect it

We’re a small charity swimming pool, and data isn’t really at the heart of what we do, but we do collect a little bit of information.

If you buy a season ticket or pass on this website, then we collect your information (especially your name and email address) in order that we can process your request, and get you your pass.   You also have to pay for it, and that is done direct with PayPal – that agreement is with them, and we never see your financial details.

We do use some cookies on the site, and you can see the detail on our cookies page.

They help us work out who visits our site, and some of them come as a result of us integrating with things like Google maps and Facebook.

When you first visited this site, you will have been asked if you were happy to have these cookies.  If you’ve changed your mind, then you can opt out on the cookies page.

All in all, we’d rather have a real cookie from the bakery.

We collect anonymous analytics data, to see how many people use our website.  We don’t know who you are, and don’t link this to any other information.

Who we share your data with

We don’t share your data that you provide to us, except as described through cookies which you’ve chosen to receive.
