Bringing children to the pool
We welcome children to the pool, but children under 8 must be accompanied in the water by someone over the age of 16 who can swim.
One swimmer over 16 can look after two children under the age of 8, but if either child is
- under 5, or
- can’t swim one width of the pool by themselves,
then they must wear a buoyancy aid.
All children who are not potty trained must wear a swimming nappy when using the pool.
We expect everyone to behave sensibly at our pool, and standard rules apply, like no diving in the shallow end.
The duty lifeguard can help explain the rules to you, and their decision on what is acceptable is final. They may choose to refuse admission or ask you to leave if you do not comply with the rules.
